About Hunter's Construction

We are Ray and Sherry Hunter and we have been in the construction business for 20 years. Ours is a hands on operation, Ray is skilled in most all aspects of the construction of a home, and when he hires subcontractors to do various segments of a project, he knows by experience if they are doing the quality of work he requires. Ray also has a great working relationship with all of the various tradesmen he uses in the construction of our homes and uses only the contractors with dedication to the same quality of work that we require in our homes.

Meanwhile, Sherry's focus is on running the office and keeping expense totals up to date on the homes, along with helping with details and consulting (and shopping ) with the homeowners if requested, on the interior decorating aspects of the home, including assisting with lighting choices, tile, carpeting, colors or other ideas.

We build our homes with quality standards and details that we would want if it were our own home. Ray goes the extra mile, from making sure the footing and foundations are extra strong and from there every step of the way our houses are above standard or building codes, all the way to the insulation and other details that most people never see, but we know they are there.

We are proud of all the homes we build. We build almost anywhere, and are especially pleased to have built so many homes in Flint Ridge Resort, where we live. It is a great source of satisfaction for us and we work very hard to build a home that our clients will truly love and be proud of, while remaining as close to their beginning budget as possible. This requires a very close working relationship between Ray and the homeowners.

We have 5 great kids, all grown. 3 girls, 2 boys..We are extremely proud parents! All have attended college, 3 are married to fantastic people, the youngest is in college in TX, where all his sisters and brother live. We have 11 grandkids (also wonderful!, just ask us!) which we don't see often enough, but we are very close to them, they come here and we make several trips to TX each year to see each other.

We enjoy fishing and camping and arrowhead hunting, visiting relatives, cookouts, movies,........
